Ouch, and people think lovies aren't dangerous 'cause they're small now imagine the same thing, with a cockatoo or macaw. Looks nasty! He really seemed to be liking that bath too

oh, i love that misconception. if you really know lovebirds, you know what they can do. but i love them anyways. dont tell the tiels, but lovebirds definately are my favourite species

willow and tucks it, but a very lousy job at it, it all falls out (which apparently lousy tucking is a boy thing)

haha i think his biting has to do with his past, he did not come from a good home so im factoring that in for his dislike of hands lol

Wow thats a gusher, my sister had love birds, and even their love nips hurt really bad, I would say the love birds hurt more then my conures. Say Casey when are you going to get a conure?

haha i actually decided on my future bird plans.... thinking it over, if im going to be getting another bird when we get a bigger place, its going to be a female lovebird for mango. poor guy needs a buddy as he wont ever be be tame and he is so bonded to munch but they cant be together because munch attacks mango all the time in the cages... plus, one day i might breed lovebirds and i want to breed mango as he does have a very sweet personality, but that is far down the road. i think he will be happier with a mate he can be caged with instead of his sibling who could care less!

That's a great idea

my lovies have never bitten me hard luckily, they've nipped but only when falling off my hands or something silly
