Latest pictures of Joey

Just thought I'd show some pictures of Joey before he went in the aviary the other day, even in the aviary he's still being a star and letting me handle him and everything. Tobi however still hates my existence

He still goes at it like crazy, no matter what I've tried. He always seems chirpy and happy. It's horrible when he does it because he screams a little and it makes me so depressed. I've tried so much though, he never gets pins either any more. But thanks, he's adorable

Does he like being in the aviary? Are there others of his species there?

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

Nanay, he absolutely loves being outside. I know his old owners kept him in an aviary for some time so it doesn't really bother him at all. The birds currently housed in the aviary are 3 diamond doves (mom, dad and their almost fully fledged chick), 4 zebra finches (2 different pairs, 1 white pair and 1 grey pair), 3 Chinese painted quails and Toby, my white-faced cockatiel. They seem to all get along fine, but once everything has hatched out and has been sold then I'll move them into my big indoor aviary (the 4 zebras and 2 cockatiels) with the 6 budgies. I only currently have 5 budgies but Patrick (one of my chicks) will be getting a mate sooner or later. We got another mate for Cosmo who I will post a picture of when I have gotten one. She is an exhibition lutino chick and she is gorgeous!

I think the birds must love aviaries. It would make sense that they would, anyway. I still wish I could build something so my guys could enjoy some time outdoors, but I would only want to have them out there part of the time. It is probably a pipe dream.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!
