Aaaaaand we're back to 4 :)

As many of you know, we lost our dear Muffin in November it hasn't been the same since and we have been toying with the idea of getting another bird, possibly something larger. However, in our current apartment and with our current birds, that just wasn't the best idea, so I took it upon myself to bite the bullet and pick out our newest addition

This is my hubby's Valentine's Day gift! (and his birthday is in 3 weeks)

She's already part Flamingo!

She is 9 weeks old, hand fed from a breeder about 15 minutes from me (what luck!) She is so sweet already (don't know if it's really a "she" but that's what we're hoping for so that's what we're calling her for now!) She reminds me so much of Muffin too We're definitely not trying to replace Muffin, but hubby has been missing HIS bird a lot so I'm hoping he will be able to bond with this baby and have a bird that gravitates towards him again! Thanks for looking, Happy Valentine's Day everyone

I don't know yet, I like Pepper but it always takes us a while for names to stick, it took about 6 months for us to officially name Chewy haha

she already likes to come out of her cage and step up for us, she is just the cutest thing!

I'm glad you say girl, there were 3 greys to choose from (and 2 pearls but I wanted a grey) and this one was the oldest of the 3 and had the least amount of yellow on her face. She was also the most mellow. She was hatched 12/3/14, the others were 12/4 and 12/5. I kind of hope she keeps the dirty face Mother was a normal grey and dad was a pied, so she is going to have a white spot on her head like Muffin did

that's ok, sorry, forgot you guys weren't American haha she was born December 3rd. of course we HAVE to write our dates differently than the rest of the world! either way she has a wonderful personality already, she came right out for me this morning! she is eating and drinking and starting to explore her little cage. I have to keep reminding myself that this bird is for my fiance...

Daisy - Chewy is not a bird, she is a spoiled brat diva baby she doesn't want much to do with other birds, but she did used to follow Muffin around so maybe these two can be friends

No, it wasn't your fault at all. When you wrote this

I thought you were talking about the bird. It was late for me so my concentration level wasn't good.

no I'm pretty sure she will be he works a lot (75-80 hours a week) in his surgery residency, and he is in year 1 of 5, so... pretty much it's me and the birds I'm also off of work this whole week, which leaves LOTS of time for bonding

That is what we are hoping, our others go to both of us even though they might prefer one over the other. They are pretty easy going, so hopefully this little bub will follow in their steps

I'm also hoping to train her to be a little more independent because Chewy is SO needy and attached, like velcro, and it can get annoying sometimes so I would like this baby to understand that it's ok to not be physically ON us all the time. Chewy was overly spoiled because she broke her leg at such a young age so her therapy was snuggling all day now she thinks she is entitled

The little tiel is beautiful.
But I also can't believe that BirdCrazyJill will leave it for her hubby.
Jill, if he works so hard I'm sure one day you'll have an apartment with a bird room.
