Linnies being linnies

My linnies are typical in that they are hand shy (mostly Stitch, the ddturquoise) but they love to snuggle with me. I was just sitting at the table reading this forum when they "attacked" me.

They look so beautiful and healthy, and they are trusting although they don't like hands. Just typical linnies.

Electric hugs are when a linnie pushes its beak against you and kind of vibrates its head...its very weird and hard to describe but if a linnie ever does it to you you'll recognize it immediately.

That sounds very cute! I'm still a newbie to the bird world. I adopted my first bird, a budgie, in April 2014, and adopted my second in December 2014. Until recently, I didn't realize that linnies existed. Silly me!

Thank you Mr. Peepers for the sig!

Congratulations on your two Budgies! They are very different than Linnies, but very wonderful, colorful and entertaining little birds! They can also be very loving.

They are loving, but in their own way. My girl likes to nibble on my fingernails and puff up, while my boy doesn't like hands and prefers to sing to me. Stitch and Pikachu look very loving

we didn't know if the "electric hug" was a good sign or bad sign coming from Kissy but when she started doing it to blankets and things too we figured it was a positive behavior

Ours like give "love pushes" to our noses! Comet will sit with his beak pressed against DH's for half a minute! They are silly birds!
