I think I picked wrong...

sort of our new baby is sounding more and more like a boy every day! I know people say you can't tell a cockatiel gender by the noise level (boys whistle, girls don't ) BUT, I don't think it's very common for girls to sound like this

At least someone is happy it's snowing!

So cute, he does seem happy indeed.

Yes he definitely is I was trying to avoid bringing home a boy because of obvious future breeding issues, but he's got a great personality so far and that's what is most important to us! Also, Chewy doesn't have the nesting issues that Muffin had so hopefully it will be ok

He's cute. Is that a natural cockatiel sound or is he imitating a human whistle?

Hi Jill,

I believe he is actually trying to whistle. That does not sound like regular cockatiel screaming. Nevertheless, he is beautiful.

he is trying to whistle and just talking to himself. Chewy's flock call will rip your ear drums out lol his calls sound like a guinea pig squeak

Hehe. That's pretty funny. Do you know how to whistle? Maybe you can teach him the wolf whistle. That will be really cute!

I can but I hate the wolf whistle! I don't want to hear it all the time so that one I am definitely not teaching him

He's very musical! Perhaps you can teach him a song. This guy is a favorite of our birds and I play it often for them:
