My Rose Crown Conure

So I was bored and decided I would share some Rose Crown Conure Pictures of my Zoey...

This one is my Favorite

Here Is My linnie Lilo Saying "Hi" to Zoey (I didn't leave her on that perch, I just took the Photo and placed her back on her own cage perch)

This is Zoey trying to bite my I Pad

Thanks ~Drini~ (Other Forum)

Great pics of Zoey, seeing Lilo next to her in her cage really surprised me. I thought Zoey was much much larger almost the size of a indian ring neck.

She's not big at all.

I like the pic of her at the window in the evening.

Ooo-she's pretty! I love the red patch on her head and those adorable Conure eyes!
Are they friendly with each other?

Oh no, poor Zoey. I hope she gets better soon.

I know the stress you must be feeling while you worry about her when you don't know what's happening.

well this time it wasn't a fall exactly.. I won't give her space to fall anymore I hold her close to me and when I travel around with her I have her held tightly just in case... the problem with her is she is flighty lol I know crazy for a bird right! lol but honestly she likes to jump at you in a nice way or towards something or she spaces and gets freaked out by something and tries to fly away etc... this time I had her on my hand my hand was perpendicular to my desk with her on it as I won't lift my hand off the desk because that gives space to fall. She got spooked jumped up and landed wrong on one tail feather. It was a four finger width fall to the desk and she broke the feather, my guess she just hit the desk at the wrong angle (or right angle). The other tail feathers lost were just little tiny ones they pulled as they weren't looking great. The vet said she didn't do as much damage this time as last time but the area is still looking irritated. They said to keep doing what I am doing and there isn't much I can do for accidents. The feathers coming in are looking slightly better than last time but they are unsure about if they will hold or if she can keep them in.. they had to glue her bum as she kept oozing as they called it. I have been to the vet multiple times now with Zoey in regards to this issue... she even lets me man handle her everyday so that I may check her bum. I haven't today as they were worried yesterday another blood pressure spike might open the glued area so I am holding off till tonight..

The other problem the vet noticed last time we went was that her flight feathers on her wings are also damaged... her right side is coming in but her left side is damaged to the secondary feathers problem is I don't know if this is damage from when she was housed with other birds or new damage... she had lots of feather damage when I first got her to her whole body... wings, tail, and overall her feathers were all outlined black with damage. She was in a cage with two other crimson bellied conures and the staff said they used to pluck her and pick on her... so i don't know... it's frustrating because I feel her overall feather health has improved so much and then this happens...

here maybe I can show with minimal pictures that i have of some of the difference I feel in person it is much easier to see but maybe this will show some difference....

This was her in the store with the crimson bellies:

Awwe poor Zoey, she sounds like she had a lot of stress housed with the other birds in the pet store. She's how old now? I forgot.

It seems like she has a ways to go before she will be 100 % and have good feather growth, you haven't had her too long and she's just been experiencing a good steady diet and your hands on personal care for a while now so be patient and let her ease into getting better.

I know you are doing your best so it will get better and she will improve in time.

Hang in there Nikki!
