My Lineolated Parakeet

So I was bored and thought I would share pictures of My linnie Lilo

This is Lilo wondering what I am doing (also don't mind the pin feathers she will not let me touch them)

Lilo trying to escape the evil Ipad

Here Is My linnie Lilo Saying "Hi" to Zoey my Rose Crown Conure (I didn't leave her on that perch, I just took the Photo and placed her back on her own cage perch)

and last one her chilling out on my finger

Thanks ~Drini~ (Other Forum)

Lilo is cute.
I suppose she is a girl, because she has only small black spots on her shoulder and very few black in her tail feathers.

Just a little linnie, no big deal.

Are you sure Lilo is lonely? Or do you just want another bird?

I had a feeling someone might say this it is okay I will say not just because I have wanted a new bird which I can honestly say even after my wanting that beautiful rose crown.. I get crazy sometimes and need to be reminded of reality this i understand, however I have been on a waitlist for a lutino Linnie for a year and a half so I feel like it's not a new development. I have always played with the idea.. my breeder hasn't had any Lutinos yet but she has had every colour besides lutino she always tries to breed back to green so it becomes hard to get... I have however come to a conclusion that if I am going to get lilo a friend the sooner maybe the better not immediately but soon she was hatched in 2013... The reason I have switched out to green is a huge price difference and the availability..now please don't think I am horrible for choosing colours I have always been a fan of the natural green always... I have two other birds that are green and I love their colours, my fiance Alex choose Lilo I wanted a ino (creamino or lutino) or green but he insisted on the dark cobalt blue. I have never regretted her I love her with all my heart, but i ahve played with the idea that she may need a friend as this is what i have been told but other Linnie owners all over this forum, avian avenue and precisely parrots as well as facebook groups... this is why I am considering

the price difference for a Lutino is 300-400 for a female/male lutino
to a green which is 160

Thanks ~Drini~ (Other Forum)

I usually choose for color too. That's because I don't mind what the personality is like (shy, outgoing, etc) because I will love the bird anyway and I'm not looking for the bird to fit in a specific type of personality. The more linnies I have, the more fun they are,,,they are addictive

Sounds like your flock is doing well! Have all of the other babies found homes?

I'm with you Nikki and Anna, I choose colors when I pick a bird but first off I choose the sex. I don't want hens as I've had my share of hens that had become egg bound or chronic egg layers that it made them ill despite all the things I did to stop the egg issues.

Linnies do well as a pair so perhaps a nice little bright green linnie would be perfect for Lilo. I was surprised that the colors of the linnies were priced differently, who would have thought it made a difference? They are the same bird inside as the other birds despite being a different color.

MrPeepers,
it's more a matter of supply and demand. More people want ino's, and statistically there are less per clutch (if you follow the recommendations of avoiding ino/ino pairings) so that's why they are more expensive (although all my babies are priced the same).

MissyBird
I have two people interested in the two babies as a pair, but I am not holding my breath because a couple of weeks ago I had two people interested in Buttons, but they one disappeared and the other decided unexpectedly that they no longer wanted linnies. That is the nature of selling birds. On the other hand, I get to enjoy them while they are here.
