A few bird show pics

So I went to a small bird show a few weeks ago and forgot I had taken a few pics. I didnt get many pics because I was so caught up in looking at all the beautiful show birds and such that I only snapped a few quick pics while I was sitting down waiting for the budgie raffle that my sister had entered. Im going to another larger show at the end of this month so I will definately take more pics there. p.s. sorry for the quality as I wasnt using flash because I didnt want to scare any of the birds.

Cockatoo Jungle, for $2 which goes towards a bird rescue you can go in and hang out and hold some toos. I held an umbrella too hehe man they are heavy birds and there was a Moluccan who was sooooo soooo sweet she let me scritch her and she was falling asleep while I was petting herher owner said she is a rescue bird and has been through so much and she is still the sweetest bird ever. She is the one next to the too wearing the green flight suit. She was such a character she'd spread her wings and raise her crest and start dancing up and down and making a loud siren noise! I love toos!

Gorgeous Crimson Rosella

The rosella and a meyers on the little gym

This booth had the best kept birds( the others selling birds had really dirty cages) He had some really pretty birds!

Some lovies, He had lots of different ones but I love the black masked the most
An adorable Kakariki

I love these rosellas they are gorgeous!

and some general pics, the show canarys are up front

Just thought Id share the few pics I took Its not alot though I wish I had of taken more pics, but I will next show!

The rosellas are Rubinos, I believe its a golden-mantled rosella mutation.

and Daisy he made me smile too! He was so gorgeous! I have never been particularily attracted to kakariki's but seeing this little one in person I will definately be doing some serious research on them for the future Are any of yours tame?

They are indeed golden mantled rosellas, but if you're in the US they may be called Eastern rosellas.
And yeah my kaks are pretty tame but I don't ever think that they can be cuddle bugs. The untame ones I have are Flash, Yoshi and kinda Ralph. Ralph isn't what I'd called wild though, he's super curious and he bounds up to you, tilts his head and then runs off haha! Chewee however is like VERY tame. He will let you play with him and he'll hang upside down. The problem with kaks are that they have SO much energy that they just don't want to sit still, so you never really get a cuddly moment. They're bouncy, run everywhere (can fly though, and fast!) And occasionally let you give them scritches. They're also very very very gentle! I've never had a bad bite off one. I've had worse off budgies and tiels. I would definitely go for it though. If you ever want one you could have one off me and I could get a courier to send one over to you ^^ I don't hand feed currently but they young ones are handles frequently so they're really tame I would sell for about 30 too

Rosellas that I've handled haven't been the most, clingy, to say. They don't really enjoy that much hands on attention but will sit on you etc. They're pretty big actually, I think they are anyways, a lot bigger than a tiel or green cheek. Temperament I know that they do not often enjoy much company with other birds but will enjoy people. I know you cannot house them with other birds as a whole. With people though I'm not too sure. I was planning on getting a pair of golden mantled fopr my aviary but sadly I found that they do not mix well and can be very violent during their breeding season. They need a lot of attention to keep them tame too, so hands on work every day is a must. They can crank up the volume quite a bit when they want to. They can be quite active though nothing like a kakariki. The most commonly kept rosellas are the golden-mantled (aka Eastern) or the crimson, both species I find absolutely stunning
