It's PLAYTIME for Harley, Libby & Angelina

Just a few random pics I took tonight. They're still on opposite sides of my small bird room, pretty much ignoring each other. Harley's been home one week today!

Here's Harley on his boing:

I'll get the clapper out of this bell yet!

MUST keep beak super clean!

Libby poses when she sees the camera!

Still posing!

And little Miss Perfect, Angelina -- "Who ARE those other creatures? Keep them away from ME!"

You have beautiful fids! I had Cricket on my shoulder while i was eating my supper. I offered him a saucy green bean, he licked the sauce off but wasn't fooled into eating those dreaded green beans. Then proceeded to wipe his beak off on my shirt. I should have known.... Harley wiping his beak reminded me. Crazy birds.

The only think Maxx hates is green beans. No matter what I put them in, they end up on the bottom of his cage.

NONE of my birds will eat green beans -- NO! Doesn't matter how small I cut them up or what I mix them with, they won't eat them. They eat the peas, though, so it's not the green color. It's funny how many of our birds won't eat them!

Kristen - They're pretty much ignoring each other at this point. I haven't brought them close together yet -- going very slowly. It'd be nice if Libby and Harley would play together, but I'm not counting on it. He's so much bigger than she is, so I have my doubts -- we'll see!

They are all so beautiful...that Harley is adorable!! Glad he is settling in so well. Hope they become friends with each other at some point....knowing plets, though, Libby will probably try to be the boss of everybody, even the macaw! LOL

My birds all love green beans! Well, I should say all but Moose who only eats seeds and sprouted seed, and his pellets when I give him no other options lol

So is Harley twice the size of Libby. From the pics I can't judge the size difference.

Thanks, everyone -- I appreciate all the nice comments on my babies!

Bob - If I ever get them close together, I'll take a pic and post it. I'm still afraid that, by the time I got the camera pointed at them, feathers would be flying! Maybe I'll start moving them closer together tonight and see how it goes.....

WELL! I won't do that again! Tonight I tried holding Harley up to where Libby was standing to snap a quick picture. Didn't work out too well! Libby immediately attacked Harley -- Harley took one look at her, jumped off my finger and zapped Libby in the foot. I put my hand in between them to stop the ruckus and in the process of getting Harley back, Libby bit my finger...hard!

Harley was okay, but breathing really hard, so I cuddled him for a few minutes and then put him on his favorite spiral boing. Then I looked over at Libby and she was holding one foot up and had BLOOD on her beak! I took her into the bathroom to check her out (got bit again in the process). Her beak was okay, the blood washed off. It was her foot that was bleeding, some skin was gone. I washed it off, dried it and then put some Quik Stop on it, which stopped the bleeding. She's okay now, standing on both feet and preening herself, but has been very quiet.

I feel so bad about bringing this on! I won't do it again, it's fine if they aren't friends. It happened so fast, as these things do. Everybody's peaceful and quiet now, thankfully, but I'm pooped!!

My sweet babies!

Shelly - Yes, since he'll be a year old on Nov. 1st, I would think he's done growing. Maybe others with more experience can answer better??

I am sorry to hear of the bad incident too Jo Anne, hope both birds are ok.

I too had the fright of my life when I first introduced my birds together. I felt like I was in a war zone with my birds attacking eachothers toes. Thank god they've all now settled, happy, and knows their flock order.
