I was wondering the same - I have seen hyacinth hybrids with similar color, I think hyacinthxbuffons? They call them emeralds? I have never seen a close up of a Lear's Macaw

Great pictures. I love tenerife. If any of you ever have the money or chance stay at the occidental grand flamenco xcaret hotel in Mexico. We went as my 30th birthday pressie. Its in the rain forest and its a magic place. They have macaws round the place. They have wild parrots. You lay by the pool and in they fly. We went to Xcaret park next door. Lots of parrots. And loads of other things to do and see. It was as amazing!

Those pics are lovely. I love the raptors. The next to the last pic, (the one with the two bald eagles), I believe the one in the foreground is a female. Females are larger than males. :O
