Dexter bites me!

So here it is! Me getting bitten by Dexter it's actually really funny! Read the info at the bottom of the page it explains the mess! The best bit is the fact that he pauses and just stares, then goes NOM

I keep my feet well tucked away from that little demon bird! He looks all fluffy and cute and pretty and then BAM, sore toe

Shira will do that, too, if she gets on the floor. I do not know if they even realize the feet are part of you or not, but they like to bite them. I don't "allow" her on the floor, and, of course, the most I can mean by that is that if she gets down there I pick her up immediately, but watch out if she gets there and you don't realize it until she gets close enough to your toes! (Honestly, my real fear with it is that she could be so easily crushed if stepped on - but green cheeks have no fear!)

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

Nanay: I know somebody else on another forum accidentally trod on her conure and sadly he died absolutely awful, she was really heartbroken. I don't let them on the floor unless I'm watching them and nobody else is in the house. I will be sat on a chair and watching them do their thing, I often put foot toys and stuff down on the floor for them as long as I'm there watching. Or I'll sit on the floor with them! The worst was when Joey was sat on my chair and I COMPLETELY forgot and I sat down and felt this warm thing moving around so I shot up, he looked a little bit rough but he was totally fine I honestly thought he was a gonner. That was ages ago now though.

Shanna: if I'm in the bath and I take Dexter in with me to sit on the side he'll see my toes poking out and run to try and get my toenails it really hurts!

Michelle: are you referring to a blue headed pionus? that would be painful! And thank you by the way
