Flash! Ahhhhhhaahhhhhhh

Flash comes up stupidly bright in pictures. I have hardly ANY pics of her 'cause she's so ... fast? Then again she's a kakariki! She is super shy though so she wont hang around like the others. Being as my aviary was empty (except for the quails on the floor) I opened the hatch of the kakariki thing in the bird room and they flew right out into the flight. The flight is huge and they LOVE it. Sadly it wont be forever though because that aviary is coming down soon. I just thought it would be nice in the mean time to give them something to do. I don't have any pics of her out in the open part of the flight. They have a bit inside the bird room which is about 2m long, 1m wide and 2m tall which is where the next box etc is put up, then that can be opened up (the whole indoor bit used to be one HUGE aviary with a shaft that opened and closed and went outside and Chalkie used to live in it, but since he has his own massive aviary now I converted it into a little breeding room. The shaft opens up into a little square sheltered bit which is 1m x 1m x 1m big, which has a large branch across the middle of it, then that attaches to the flight. The flight is 6ft wide, 9ft long and 6ft tall. There's a tall branch in the middle with a branch going to the wall coming off it and scattered around the aviary are those short rubbish plastic perches (they're so useful in big aviaries though! I had them for the finches). Anyways, enough rambling. Here is Flash!

she's odd looking

Wow, now that's a cool bird! I wish I had some aviaries, or at least one big one connected to my house so I could let my birds out to adventure when it's sunny and warm.

She's really pretty!! I love bright yellow birds.
Are Kakarikis good pets? I've never considered them before.

Thanks guys. Kaks ate AMAZING birds. You would love owning one they're not at all bitey and full of energy. Even parent raised birds ate super cute and friendly
