Funny Little Bird

Here are some new photos of Hermes I just took.
He still looks a little rough but his crest looks wonderful after he molted.
Now we shall see if his tail and flight feathers clean up well! He has grown back two long tail feathers which I'm happy about since he knocked them out a while back.

Here he is!

And there you go!

No doubt! Hawk-headed Parrots are odd looking...

I think they're neat looking but I'd rather have a Hawk and a Parrot rather than both mixed into one.

I love hawks, but I'm a vegetarian and I love mice and rats so I couldn't feed them mice. If it wasn't for that I would try to get my mom an owl

Ahhhh ok! I love Mice and Rats too, used to have 3 Female rats that I loved!! Animals need to eat though, that's how I think about it.

You don't only feed rats by the way hehe. Chalkie doesn't have one often. Maybe two or three times a month. Every day he eats two chicks and every couple of weeks he gets a quail. He eats very high quality chunks of beef too funnily enough I never ever used to be able to touch their food. But as I got more and more used to it I found my self doing things like gutting and skinning. I still wretch all the time but before I couldn't even pick the stuff up! I started to get more and more though including reptiles and now I work with birds of prey and reptiles, so I really m used to it haha.

Jack really wants a hawk head. As do I! I reaaaaally love their fans haha.

Eeek, I didn't know that at all. In all honesty I haven't touched a piece of meat of any kind in almost 16 years . The most I can do is open a package of wet dog food and put it in a bowl, but it can't touch me, lol.
