yeah those are my initials. and for these photos, no zoom or flash natural lighting, i dont use zoom with natural light as my hand is too shaky for that and i get some blurry shots. i need to make a thread for my photo fails LOL

i put my initials on my best photos, as when i was on Talk Cockatiels some other person made a website stealing peoples photos and using them as "their breeder birds" last i checked, DALLY is MY bird not another persons breeder bird! so to protect my best work i put my initials in the corners! the person who stole images not only stole mine but a few other members as well and the person who stole them is not a member of the forum, just some person scamming them and trying to scam people by saying our birds were theirs. so ive learned to sign my best photos.

i dont have the most steady hand when signing on the computer unfortunately so my initials arent as neat as they would be lol

If I steal the pics I would crop the corners out Casey. These ones are beautiful. I wan't to try out this technique of yours using natural lighting but my place is so dark.

What do you mean natural lighting? PM me if you prefer to keep it as top secret.

what i mean by natural lighting is no flash. but they turn out better near the window in our room on bright sunny days... the lighting can change depending on other factors. factors like cloudy days, dark walls, dark rooms, too small window, and where in the room and which direction you try to take the photo. you want the photo subject facing the light, with the light source behind the camera, because the light from the window will create sorta a spot light. you dont want the light source behind your subject because you will get back light, and this just creates a silhouette.

also different types of light sources can change your photo... say a lamp or a light bulb might not give you the same results as the window outside light. but they can be done, depending on your taste

natural light photos (no flash) are hard to get with birds because they MOVE lol like mango

Oh I see! I done this one of Mr.Quaker using natural light but it's not very clear cause I stood on the side - now I know I should be standing in front of him with facing the light to take pics when using natural light

yeah i took a photography class in highschool and fell in love with the art lol but my photo subjects arent always easy :P

if i had a better camera i could do natural light photos under different conditions as well, but all i have is a point and shoot camera lol
