can i ask how you did this? i have issues with dally and tsuka and would love some insight on some ways i may be able to get them to get along better, particularly tsuka's aggressiveness

I know the one is a Sun Conure, what breed is the other bird? So beautiful!

haha yeah I havent been on in awhile because my labtop broke, and i can only go on with my cell, and ive been working like 65 hours a week

Okay so yep hes a blue throated conure i love him to bits, and I know it feels like just yesterday I got him just harness training him now. We hafta go for an hour drive to get him beak trimmed this week because he never chews, seriously the bird doesnt know how to play with toys hes starting to unweave the very light ones though

Well I did alot of trial and error with him but the most effective was taking them out together whenever they got treats so they had positive association and alot of out of cage time together, Russ wasnt hurting Blue but he'd chase him around for awhile to dominate him, also I kept Russ off me when they were out together because he'd get jealous, oh and I put there cages right beside eachother once Blue was less scared.

Are for the aggressiveness when is it happening?

H

all the time, i ended up just separating them. they lived together (theyre cockatiels) since they were around 6 months old. but always tsuka would chase dally from the food bowls so i would always put extra to solve that problem, which usually works but lately it hasnt worked. 3 seed bowls, 1 pellet bowl for two birds... well tsuka has escalated to nipping at her and chasing her in the cage and then he got clipped because he would dive bomb her when he was flighted and he would fly at my face and bite. and he bites for blood. so he got clipped, but now he just chases dally on foot or tries to bite her feet through the cage bars if hes on time out... so i just separated them. separate rooms. tsuka is in their old cage and dally is in the spare top compartment above our hedgehog's cage. and dally can get just as large as a cage as tsuka so i dont have to get smaller cages. everyone is winning in this case. but i wish they could have gotten along better. dally was my first bird.

hmmmm how old is dally? Do you think its hormones? Maybe some time apart for awhile is good dally seems to have a negative association with him and then maybe really slowly having them see eathother from far away with lots of treats and just keep trying to get closer together but only when recieving positive body language, im guessing itd be a long road to get them friends again just alot of slow work involved and lots of food

theyre both over 2, tiels hit their "teen stage" at 6 months old. tsuka's been there done that lol theyre on the long nights treatment and all other hormone reducing methods at the moment... its spring :P but tsuka has been like this since day one. ive had him even live at my fiance's moms house for a month to get him to calm the heck down because he attacked dally and chipped her beak last year. got back, he was fine for a few months then he started getting bad again and hes getting far far worse than ever. munch is usually our most aggressive bird, but tsuka now takes that title. he is the worst with me lately, he bites when asked to step up and he just doesnt bite, he RIPS. he will step up and KEEP biting. he chases me when i change his food and he bites me then too. and he bites HARD.

this is just ONE of the bites i had gotten within an hour of just asking him to step up. he stepped up and took a chunk out of my thumb!

http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_5377.jpg

he's already clipped because he would literally fly at my face and attack me and dally. for a simple cockatiel, he is out of control. he wants nothing to do with anyone lately. he just attacks and wants to be away from everyone and i am not sure why. he used to be friendly and sweet sometimes. now he still his, but not much. maybe once a week i can even give him scritches without getting bit. he will ask for them then rip my fingers off as soon as i touch him
