Quite normal for a lorikeet. They have extremely sharp beaks. Their diet in the wild is mainly pollen and nectar and fruit. Some of the fruit they eat in the wild have reasonably tough skins so they need to be able to get into it. A baby Rainbow or Scaley Breasted Lorikeet can draw blood if they nip you at under 4 weeks of age. Having been on the receiving end of a number of nips from them I can assure you of the lenghth and sharpness of their beaks. Usually they are not being nasty, but can easily get upset if they think you have fed them in the wrong order or just done something that they don't like, and they like to let you know.

Yes it's normal, all of my lories and lorikeets have very hooked beaks and boy does it hurt when they're play fighting with you!
