Our New Addition

Never ever thought of adopting an older bird. This is Rosita and she is amazing. She is only 32 years old. Everyone that stops by to meet her thinks she is a new baby. I hope I can age like this one day,lol

Somehow I missed this thread when it was originally posted.

Rosita is just gorgeous, and at 32 I wished I felt just half as good as she looks.

Cheers,

John.

Awww, congrats! It makes me so happy when someone adopts a Parrot instead of buying from a breeder. I bought my 'Tiel from a breeder, and it is wonderful to get a baby bird, but helping an older bird that normally wouldn't get adopted easily is great!

It is so nice of you to take in an older bird. How is she adjusting to your home life? Did she come with any vocabulary? Hopefully no 4 letter words though!

Thank you all. She really is special. I had a dyh amazon years ago and i think my macs are so very happy to have a amazon in the family again. The light and laughter is back in my bird room and house. It was pretty doom and gloom here for a while.
John thanks for the welcome but i have been on this site for a long time. Got a new computer and could not get back on so my son had to create a new account. I received emails of members responding to my post but could not log in. So i am back missed you all.
