Bob - Libby seems just fine in the "bird room" with Angelina. They chirped back and forth all afternoon. Libby's cage was her HQ flight cage, which she used for sleeping, so she's really already used to it. I just added more toys and play stuff (you know I have plenty of toys!
They told me at the bird shop that as long as they each get individual attention, they should be fine. I'll still be spending time off and on during the day with each of them, plus between 6 and 7 p.m., I'll be with both of them in the bird room, so they can come out and play. Usually Libby plays and Angelina sits on my shoulder and grooms my hair, but we're all together.
Harley will be in the family room, and for right now, I don't want Libby seeing me handle Harley. I don't want her to feel "replaced", if that makes any sense. Since I'm retired, I can make sure each bird gets individual attention from me. I also want Harley to know how to play independently, just like Libby and Angelina do.
I went back to the bird room at 7 p.m., thinking I'd try to get some pics of him, but he had climbed into his tent and was softly mumbling to himself, so I guess it was bedtime for him too. I covered him up and didn't hear a peep out of him after that.
I promise pics tomorrow! And yes, I've decided to name him Harley!
