They are awesome!! Call me crazy but the way the gulp down mice is awesome especially the happy face they make after.
I used to help at the humane society so my duty was to feed them.

Lol, alright then. I think it'd be really cool to be a bird handler, like the people they have at zoos and stuff that do the shows (that's kind of like what you're doing Daisy, right?).

That's what I'm doing but my place is just birds of prey owls are thick, in the nicest way of saying it. Very hard work. Not much going on in their heads haha! They're also pretty aggressive in larger species!

That makes sense! I love the larger species but the small owls are so cute!
I was actually looking into the Falconer's Club here in Alberta but right now I don't have the time I would want to commit to it. With a small baby that takes most of my time I just wouldn't have the time to give the proper care and attention to the bird or the hobby!
I have wanted to do it ever since I first learned of it when I was little. Someone in my town used to keep a bunch of Falcons on his property in a huge enclosure. I believe he bred them as well. I never got to see them though.

Maybe you could take it up when your son is older, like at school? It is VERY hard, very time consuming and very tiring! It really drains you.

I hope so.
I need to find something to consume my time other than sitting around, and if it wasn't for me then I wouldn't continue with it or keep a bird that wasn't being exercised or anything because I was busy.
