Adopting A Sulphur-crested Cockatoo

So yesterday, my mom and I went to a woman's store where she has a 22 year old Sulphur-crested Cockatoo; and we're looking into adopting her!

She's going to become my primary bird, because the woman who has her cant give her the time and energy that she needs.

And I can 'cause I'm home all of the time.

Her name's Jazz, and she's beautiful to say the least.
We're used to Cockatiels so this is a big upgrade for us, and my mom and I are very excited.

Her wings are clipped, and she's just all around beautiful to say the least.
She immediately became attached to me. And was playing, and joking around and it was just so fantastic. I just opened up to her, and she read me, and we had a blast. I spent two hours with her.

I should be getting her about the end of may, if not sooner than that.
The woman wants an African Grey and if she can get one, or we can pay then we get Jazz. I think we're probably going to get Jazz regardless so, it doesnt matter but I really am so excited to get her.

How exciting! May is SUCH a long time away! Will you be able to visit her between now and then, so you can get to know one another?

Yeah, the stores right down the road.
I'm going on a five week trip to england, so we dont want to bring her into my house and then have her feel; like I abandoned her.

And I'm praying, that the lady will hold her for us until I come back. Praying.

Oh, hopping over the pond to us then huh?
Where you visiting.
Toos are a handful, but I think the cuddliest birds.
So funny too, and the crest makes them easier to read.
Loud!
Of course we'd need lots and lots if pics!

I would like to update you guys; since its been a while.
We did get Jazz :3

She's been at my house for almost two months now and has almost stopped mutilating herself and plucking. And she is quite the character.

She talks like she's possessed. Its hilarious

We all love her.

Cant wait to share pics with you guys
