Talking Hilarious Kakapo Video!

This video absolutely cracked me up! I was almost in tears!! I suppose I should say it's PG-13 but it's a kakapo so it doesn't count

To give a little intro, Kakapo's are the worlds largest parrot and the only flightless parrot, weighing in at around 8 pounds! What makes me laugh the hardest is how much they resemble a linnie!! To me they look like big, fat, fluffy linnies with whiskers!

They do sort of look a linnie that needs to lose a few pounds.

That was hysterical! LOL! I recently saw a show about these special birds, and they are very revered in their native country New Zealand. This fella was a bit embarassing though huh!?

LOL!! That's hilarious! "You're being shagged by a rare parrot!" I guess not many people get to experience that, huh? Haha!

It actually looks like an owl to me.. A wingless one.

Funny you say that, because over here in NZ, kakapo means night parrot or owl parrot or something like that.

They are so rare, almost extinct. They're just hanging in there, poor things.
It'd be awful if they died out.

I know they are rare, but I would love to have one! They should try breeding for the pet trade!
How much would you pay?

If someone could get hold of two to breed with it'd be a miracle, even then they'd probably have to get a permit... and if they bred them they'd probably have to release them....

But if they weren't so endangered i'd pay a lot for one of them! They're gorgeous!

Not only would it be hard to find a mating pair to take into captivity, but that pair might not do well in captivity, meaning no reproduction and two less birds.
