My silly pin head!!

Some new pics of the Goob she's goin thru a pretty rough molt at the moment, but we had a nice 20 minute snuggle/preen session and I opened all the feathers on her head she'd let me get to! She's done so good with the apartment, she hasn't screamed even once and lets Gareth pick her up and even pet her!! He still can't get her out of, or off of, her cage but if she's on her play stand she steps up regularly and will let him scratch her head

He is so cute! He's a Hahns.. correct? I've been considering a Hahns Macaw but I'm not sure because I can't find a ton of information on them!
Great photos though.

She's actually a Severe Hahns are about the size of a sun conure, Severes are about the size of a Grey or small Amazon. She's a sweetie, but very much a brat. Severes are notorious for being one person birds and very bratty - every one I've worked with has been that way, including the ones I've seen at other pet shops Always trying to bully and be in charge! But if you don't mind a bossy bird and can handle it, they make such fantastic companions! Every day is a lot of fun, she's an absolute mush for me, and when other people win her trust they get so excited haha

Ahhh ok! She sounds like a sweetie even if she can be a brat sometimes. Are Hahns different in temperment do you know?

The ones I worked with were more even tempered. Still one person birds without a lot of socialization, a little more prone to nippyness, but at the same time more mellow, even tempered, and less moody. More predictable, if that makes sense, and less likely to nip for no reason or out of nowhere

Kayla, if you wanna look into Hahns then I would speak to Jo Anne her Charley will give you a good idea.

Wow, Jenny she's beautiful, I thinks a severe is the kind of macaw I want, I didn't know that hahns were that small, I've never actually seen one in person.

Hahns macaws are tiny! They're quite long but very thin. Like a big conure. I think they're similar to sun conures in size but I could be wrong. I've never held them but I've seen them.

KC did that too, she let people pick at her pins that she wouldnt tolerate before lol seems she will let the grudge go if they service her itchy pins lol

Thanks, all. She's a really good girl, she just hates women to the point where she will launch off her cage/perch to get them. I'm trying to work on it, but it's hard to find people brave enough to risk a macaw attack to the face and I guess I can't blame them lol
