Back From Our Trip

So some of you may remember awhile ago I posted about me and Phoenix, my Scarlet Macaw, going on a trip to Ontario for 12 days. We were going to be taking a 3 hour flight there and then another 3 hour drive to our hotel. I had made sure everything was prepared before hand and was trying to make everything go as smoothly as possible.

Well we are now back from our trip and everything did go very smoothly. Phoenix slept the whole flight and was quite content to sit and watch out the car window on the drive to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel I set up his travel cage, really just a huge wire dog kennel, and he settled right in. House keeping loved cleaning my room during the day and playing with Phoenix while they were there The same for the trip home, he was content in the car and slept the whole flight again, all in all Phoenix is going to make one good traveler!

I'll try and post some pictures of him here.

Thanks! Yes we did turn many heads especially in the airport. The pilot knew about Phoenix (even his name) before I was even on the plane, he met us at the door!

Yes he was a carry on, he road under the seat in front of me. I had to get an airplane approved soft sided kennel for him.
