Morgan chillin'

Morgan tends to drop his wings down and let them droop when he's content and getting cuddles. *He's in the throws of The Big Molt of 2010, his feathers are a wreck and the molt is really going slow, please excuse his shabby appearance* I was able to grab a few shots while he was getting loved on by The Hubster (who is Morgan's chosen person). Some of his mannerisms really show how much of a babybird he still is

And Morgan with his new favorite toy, which is is merrily destroying

I had my first introduction to the greys at Niblet and Taiyo's breeders place, Ineke. I love the red tail end and the fact that they are so calm. One of them, Earl, landed on my head by mistake of course. Not to worry, Ineke saved me...ooops him.

LOL Morgan used to fly at me from other rooms and land on my head. Was a bit startling when I wasn't expecting it! He's since learned that it's unacceptable (he used to get caught in my hair and freak out... ouch for us both!) We're still working on him not trying to be on my shoulder (he loves my earrings).

Aye, those little feather balls are giant! They get into everything too. Many of my shirts are a dark color... perfect for attracting little white and gray fluffballs, as if the cat and dog hair wasn't enough!
I guess that's why I was voted "Most likely to become The Crazy Bird Lady" at work

Yeah, Morgan is a really good talker. He came to us from the breeders trying to say "Morgan". At around 6 mo. he was saying a few things clearly: "What are you doing?" "Good Stew" (he likes to tell our sun he's a good Stew lol... and to "Stop, just stop" when Stew screams), and a few other commonly heard things around our house (he has a terrible potty mouth, just like me ) Then, all of the sudden he was rambling off clear words with seemingly little practice. Now he says just about everything he hears... even in passing. Much to my dismay, he's picked up "who's your daddy?" from a movie... and will not stop saying it... That saying is a huge pet peeve of mine, so meh. Lately he's been asking our dog "Bubberton, who's your daddy Bubba?" (Our dog has many nicknames, "Bubberton" is Morgan's favorite of them). I keep trying to get some video of him chatting away but he has Web-Cam-Radar. He clams right up if he thinks he's being watched.
