Phoebe

Today I woke up with zero intentions of bringing home a new bird. But look what I ended up bringing home...

This is Phoebe, who didn't have the best home before. She had a tiny cage and needed to be rehomed because the owner had just moved into an apartment that didn't allow Phoebe. So I took her in, and I'm not positive if I am going to keep her for good - I may just be a temporary foster home. Or who knows, I may keep her for good. I can tell you this - I'm already head over heels in love with her. I've never had a lory before, and I haven't had much experience with them, but with the help of my good friend Daisy and the forum, I hope to provide the best home (or temporary home) possible for her. She's very friendly, very hyper and active, and overall a total cutie. (Yes, she is missing her cere.)

Here are some more pictures:

I'm glad I told you to go for it. Even if you rehome her she will have a better life than where she was good luck with her! Regardless of her cere, she's beautiful

Thanks Daisy, I'm also glad you told me to go for it! My first order of business is to get her a new cage. That, and get her an appointment at the vet's. Any suggestions for cages?

3 African grey/Amazon sized dome tops and a play gym top big enough for large cockatoos

Kayla, I was told my yellow streaked was a nasty, unpredictable and vicious bird towards just about everybody around him and he came out for less than an hour twice a week, if that. I've never met a sweeter bird, he's far more laid back than Darwin!

Her cere makes her look like she has a little button nose beak. Precious baby!

She'll be so much happier I'm sure!
