Goodbye Lola

I found my budgie Lola dead yesterday.
I'm not sure why she passed. She was getting older, but she wasn't THAT old. I'm not sure if she was sick or something. I feel really bad. This is the same way my first budgie, Rosco, passed. I'm strongly considering taking my birds to the vet to check them out, to make sure they are OK, although they all look in fine health now.
I'll miss her dearly. She was beautiful and sweet. I'm still waiting for my dad to take her out of her cage. I don't think I want to touch her. :/

Here is a picture of her:

I'm so sorry for your loss, Abby. It might be a good idea to have your other birds checked out by an avian vet, just to be on the safe side.

Oh Abby I'm so sorry RIP little one. I would have your other birds checked, it could just be random, but it's always worth checking

I'm glad you're back on the forum by the way, missed you being here

Thank you all. I really appreciate it.
Daisy, I've been really busy as a lot of difficult stuff had been going on. Somebody very close to me was close to suicide. Things have gotten MUCH better, and I'm really looking forward to spending a ton of time on here like before.
Thanks again, everybody.

I'm very sorry for your loss, Abby. Getting the birds checked is never a bad idea. Generally, though, birds are very good at hiding signs of old age or poor health, which is why it comes as such a surprise when they pass, especially in budgies it seems. They're so small, so precious, so hyper, it's hard to see when they may be struggling. It could just have been her age too. Either way, I'm very sorry for your loss and I hope you hear good news from the vet

I'm glad your friend is doing better as well - it's VERY trying when that happens... been there, done that... -.-;
