Little Leo

i had to put Leo down on August 12th. he was having liver issues and it was time. i rescued him and Ace about a year and a half ago. they came from a bad situation and were untamed, scared, and not cared for. they both trained fast and i thought them how to wave. they both came out of their shell. Leo didn't make close friends, but he enjoyed playing with toys and loved to get misted and swim in the water dish. he loved the freedom and the fact that he didn't have to be scared anymore.

now he is flying free with Lenny, Butch, and Pumble

a trip down memory lane....

I'm so sorry to hear that Leo has left you, I recall the thread you made a while back with his odd feather growth and problems, its sad that it did turn out to be a liver illness.

Leo was a stunning budgie with the traditional colors and markings of the famously wild budgies of Australia. He was an original!

Fly High Leo.

I'm so sorry to hear about Leo.
He was an adorable little budgie. I'm sure he enjoyed his happy life as a member of your flock.
Fly free over the rainbow bridge, Leo!

Even though his time with you was short, at least he got to spend it in your care. You truly have a budgie heaven and you gave him a great end of life. Goodbye Leo.

He was a beautiful little bird with his bright blue cere. Even if he wasn't close friends with anyone, he had lots of wonderful company, a wonderful environment and a great friend in you.

Fly free brave little Leo!

Bless Leo's heart. He is beautiful. Maybe he's flying around with some of my gang on the Bridge.

More importantly, bless your heart for rescuing him.
