RIP Bruce

I was going to post this yesterday but my internet is still not up and running so I'm jumping on anybodies laptop, phone, iPad, iPod etc etc to get onto the forum. I've tried and tried but oh well, not happening at this moment in time, so you'll have to bare with me if I'm not replying or I am posting less

Anyways, back to the point. I'd gone out 2 night ago for the night and my granddad was looking after the fids as he always does if I'm away. I'd fed them all in the morning and cleaned them out and everybody was fine. I have quite a few budgies now. I did have Cosmo, Bubbles, Bruce and Patrick but now I have Elle, an English Lutino budgie, she is absolutely massive and VERY gorgeous. I also have a normal blue budgie (American) and a greywing blue (American). My pairs are Cosmo and Elle, Bubbles and Bruce and the two blues. Patrick is getting a little lady soon. The 2 blues need a name by the way, so feel free to contribute. My granddad had picked up the blue pair from a livestock auction and they're doing just fine now. Anyways. Bruce and Bubbles have got 2 babies at the moment and both of them are wonderful parents. Suddenly Bruce had just collapsed and frozen up really fast, granddad ran into the house to tell me and I went to look and sure thing, he was dead. Stiff. I felt awful. I don't know of his age or anything but he's looked after so well! I couldn't get over it. He's been burried now and I feel a bit better. I'll post a picture of him once I get home but you may be able to find a thread about him. He was my biggest budgie. I feel awful for Bubbles as she's now alone trying to look after her two babies.

Rest in peace big guy

Thank you everybody! Bubbles is doing really well looking after her chicks and the one of them can sort of fly now which is great. She does seem a little bit lost though I have to admit. I took some pictures of the babies, I'll upload them soon.

the one chick has been moved on into a separate cage now with his older brother and the only chick left with her has now started to feed itself and perch. She's got a lucky guy waiting for her though as the two blue budgies I had together (thinking they were a pair!) were actually both guys! So I'll be pairing her up with him soon ready for next year. But thank you though. I did promise to upload a picture of him at some point so hey... here he is...

he was going into the nest box and wasn't too pleased with me being there

Sorry for your loss... he is a beautiful budgie. Be glad his children look like him, though.
