I love you too Joe

Honestly, I've almost been sick I cried so much

Joey got worse and I went around calling all of the closest vets. The only one I could get was one I take Dex and Pickles to for a nail trim which was fine by me. I took him in car and he went to sleep on the way. When we got there some woman spent about half an hour complaining at the desk about the price of her treatment and I got so annoyed I just bent around her and said Joey is here to see the vet and about thirty seconds later the vet came out. I told her how much weight he'd lost and his changes in food and water (no food and lots of water) and I said I think it's kidney failure. She said I was right. She said he was dying slowly an painfully. I said please put him down and she said it was the right thing to do and only fair. She asked if I wanted to stay and I said yeah that's fine and I said goodbye Joey and he put his head down for some scritches. He had a quick tickle and I gave him a kiss an he went 'kiss kiss I looove you Joe!' so I said I love you too and at that point I left the room. I was destroyed. My poor boy was out down fast and then the lady came and told me there was so much fluid in his lungs it came out of his nostrils and mouth. She said he had pneumonia as well as that. I couldn't breathe. I feel so selfish and stupid. She gave me him in a towel to keep and told me I could take him home. I have him next to me. I dont want to bury him until Jack gets here.

I just love and miss him so much.

Aww I am so sorry Daisy... I believe you did the kindest most loving thing you could of done for your baby... You gave him the gift of peace.. It was the most loving , unselfish thing you could do... and it hurts like crazy... Remember the good times and be comforted in the fact he is not suffering anymore.. I hope you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear that Daisy, but better to let him go, then have him suffer.

I'm so sorry! I cried for 3 days when I had to put my dog down a few months ago.. It's like losing a family member. Time heals all wounds and you did the right thing!

Daisy... Do not feel bad for upsetting anyone... We are upset for your loss , we are upset along with you... We hurt for you and sympathize with you to try and share your grief and loss.. To try to help you cope.. No one is upset at you ... We all care about you Daisy... That is why some people hurt... But it is nothing you have done.
