Can't believe I'm here

Not a single mark on him. Coming up to 2 years old. Just finished 6 weeks of antibiotics and he's lying here in my hands. He was playing with me not long ago and suddenly gone. Dexter is so lost without him

I love you Pickles

You've had it so rough this year and spent a fortune having to medicate your flock after that dam shop infected them!!

I had hoped things would settle down for you now. Wish I could come and give you a hug

Thank you all. It's just the shock of it that really got me the most. He was almost perfect in weight and feather etc. my concern is that it could of been having such a long exposure to antibiotics. I read up many times that it can be detrimental to their health but psittacosis has a long course of treatment with retesting and possible further treatment 3 months later. Poor baby. At the moment I'm terrified of keeping birds. I've lost so many from all of this and every time I go in the bird room I can't even look at them straight away, thinking who's it now? I've just this moment got up, and all the birds are silent which has made me uneasy, I just want Dexter to be okay. They were both babies when I got them and they've grown and matured together

Geeze, I'm scared to look at my birds the morning after a night fright... I cannot even imagine how you must feel.. Are you taking him into your vet for a necropsy? I pray things get better for you real soon Daisy... Without losing any more birds!

Yeah I understand... I don't think I could afford one either if I needed to... I know it's so very hard on you Daisy.. These last few months have really taken their toll on you and your flock.

Thanks for understanding. It was only a month or two ago I had TWO necropsies done but you gotta think about the consult fees, the necropsy an samples of tissue, organs etc you need sending off, then the cremation after
