are geranium safe food?

I've read conflicting reports that geranium are , aren't safe bird food.
Does anyone know?

I would not let any of my birds eat geraniums. I don't think they are safe.

But things like Roses, Dandelions, Grevillea and Bottle Brush are fine.

Thanks Kate.
I have a lot of roses!
Is that just flowets, hips. Or are stalks and leaves ok?
I'm just about to give mine their winter cut!
