Cool subsitute food

I was wondering if anyone else makes decoy food ? Like if I have chips I make sure I have little pieces of bread so that when they ask for some of what I'm having I have a healthier option to give then. Like marleys favorite thing is tea he will go mad when he sees it so I have started to put warm water with the smallest amount of milk in it when ever I make tea so that he feels like he is also getting some but its healthier for him or if I make fried egg on toast with butter ill also make a hard boiled egg on brown toast with no butter. Stuff like that just healthier versions of what you are eating so your faby doesn't feel left out

You can make tea for your birds - not standard black tea, but some herbal teas are really good for them. Shoot, I know there was an article in BirdTalk about it... I tried peppermint tea with Goober and she seemed to enjoy it So you can make the birds their own glass of herbal tea in the mornings if you'd like, even serve it warm like you would baby food, make sure it's not too hot to dip your finger in and they can have it. Just cross-check the herbal ingredients and make sure they are bird safe. I'll see if I can locate the article for you

I always have another dish of cooked veggies for Rocky at tea time so he can come down and has his own little dish, doesn't stop him trying to pinch my but I just have to re-direct him and he seems happy enough with it lol, easy way to get him to eat his veggies
