can she have some?

we are smoking some veggies with hickory and extra virgin olive oil the veggies are carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, red bell pepper, asparagus. i am also fixing fruit salad kiwi, green apple, watermelon, mango, pear can Abigail eat these things or not?

The fruit salad, if it's just the fruit sounds great. The veggies I would be leery of, I don't know how the smoking of them will affect the bird, if it leaves residue or anything

If it was me, I'd give the fresh fruits and if you wanted to cook the veggies you could steam them. I am no cook so I also am not sure what smoking things does to the quality of the food.

Hickory wood is listed as a safe wood on some lists, but not others. I'd err on the side of caution and not feed her the smoked foods.

yeah i decided to just give her the mix of fruit but she didn't eat them oh well at least she had the option

Next time save some of the veggies out and give them raw or steamed to her... most of my birds would rather veggies before fruit any day!

i just ordered a steamer so i can use that i am trying to get my family to eat more healthy to so maybe it will work and benefit both feathered family and human family
