Green Cheek Foods

What pellet based diet should I feed my Green Cheek, the breeder feeds them some Kaytee's rainbow diet for cockatiels, is this alright? Does anyone have any suggestions?

My green cheek has zupreem fruit blend for medium sized birds.. She loves them.

But sticking with the pellets the breeder weaned them on is always easier than switching them over.

My two GCC have Harison's super fine high potency but I think they could also have fine. I too recommend that they have the same stuff they were weaned on to for a while. The key is variety though, still feed fruit & veg, herbs and seeds etc as a compliment to the pellets

Well they're going to give me a starter bag so I might stick with it in the end and my little buddy will be getting plenty of fruits and veg, just making sure that the cockatiel exact was alright for him since its not labelled for green cheeks.

My newest addition, Merlin was weaned to zupreem fruity blend - cockatiel size. He switched to Harrison's fine VERY easily. I agree, stick to what the breeder was feeding, then try another kind if that's what you want to do. My 2 'tiels and my 2 GCCs eat Harrison's fine pellets and the GCCs eat a variety of fruits and veggies as well. They all get a high quality seed/nut/dried fruit/grain mix as well. Usually there are 3 sizes of food - finch or budgie size, cockatiel size, and parrot size. Basically small, medium, large.
