Ad lib or timed?

Out of curiosity, I was wondering who fed their birds on a timed schedule or whether you feed them ad lib?

I top up the food in the mixed aviary daily, every morning, but it's ALWAYS there, it never runs out. The kakarikis are also the same. The lovebirds and conures in the house are fed their natural food during the morning and sometimes a seed mix in the evenings, if they don't have the seed mix they have another portion of their natural food. Harvey is fed ad-lib also, but I'm trying to get him eating more fresh foods, he just won't eat them. While weaning him the only things he'd try were seeds and millet so still (even though he's quite a few months old now), the most he will have from me so far is just little bits daily, so we're working on that. I try to feed Darwin ad-lib, because I find that lories seem to feel more secure with food available at all times. However, unlike any other bird they seem to fill their crops up right to the brim, like a baby bird. So I put his lory mix in there twice a day and his baby food in there (the blended fruit and veg) once a day, but still, he cobbles it all up. If I have grapes for him on me I'll put them in his foraging toys

Just curious anyways

Sparkle gets unlimited pellets through the day, seed in the morning and fruits and veg at night. I hide a few nutriberries in her cage for her to find while I'm at work.

Mine get main food changed in the morning, and fresh fed in the afternoons. I dont feed mine fresh later at night because they tend to ignore it, trying to get ready for bed.
