Which is the best brand for seeds?

Hello, for pellets we know harrison's for seeds?

I used zupreem and was really happy but couldn't find when we moved to Greece so changed to a local brand which seemed good. After a couple of years we have some digestive problems and the avians told us to buy vitakraft? Is it the best? I 'm struggling to find vitakraft for cockatiels where i live but still fighting to get some.

I use Chin Ridge seeds mixed with Roudybush californian blend. PS Harrison's, is REALLY hard for many birds to transfer onto, Roudybush is easier, but they are around the same in nutritional.

I use Vitakraft Premium for now, since i cannot find any other.. I think it's fine.. Well my babies adore it! When i tried to give them some of the old one they tossed away the seeds and were picking only vitakrafts.. lol.. They have never done something like this in the past.. I am trying to get some Versele laga Premium but it's in another city 5 hours away so have to find a way to make the petshop send them to me.. Also ordered from Ebay several things of Higgins so i can give it a try.. But Higgins in greece is unknown so i might stick to Versele laga.. Roudybush is also unknown here but i will give it a try as well.. I cannot find organic seeds in greece, i don't trust the companies about the quality at all.

I use Higgens conure for my green cheek conure, and vita kraft for our parakeet. I don't use the Kaytee brand, and my birds don't like Kaytee either or at least my parakeet never has. I like Higgens, it has dried fruits and veggies as well as seed in the mix. I don't know if it is the best, but it is the best one I can afford.

Hi,
Do your birds eat all the seed you put in their dishes? I would love to find a seed that my birds would eat all. I feel so wasteful throwing so much away.

Don't feel guilty. Easy solution. Save all the left overs in a container and feed it to the outside birds! That's what I do.

Thats great, but my question is do you birds eat all of it in their dish everyday. Or do you wind up throwing alot away?

If their not eating the seeds you provide. How do you know if their getting the proper nutrients?

They won't get much nutrients on an all seed diet anyway. You need to feed a balanced diet

Yes I feed pellets also with fresh, but I guess the birds don't eat all the seed. That was my question.

yeah they eat it all if it is vitakraft for cockatiels.. i think it is premium, not sure though. i also tried some padovan premium, they couldn't eat it all bcs it had some seeds of pumpkin inside they couldn't chew. I think it is a matter of the brand, if they like it or not and of course sometimes they eat all their pellets sometimes they don't eat at all and i have to throw them away as you do..
i would try versele laga this week and will keep you updated.
