Japanese Beetles & Parrots

So I'm not sure if anyone else is as swamped in JB as we are. And I do know that all sorts of wild birds will gladly eat up a grub if given the chance. So I have to ask if they're toxic? the grubs would probably be safer than the beetles, as most pesticides people spray are above ground and affect the adult beetle. Assuming you practice safe foraging and live in lovely neighborhood/near wilderness area/organic yard: Are they safe? Mealworm larvae and even the larger beetles I know are safe. So, once they've been picked by hand, or captured in a net for aviary 'foraging' kosher or not?

So long as there is nothing on them, as you said, I can't imagine there would be anything wrong with them really however don't take my word for it. But birds do eat a lot of grubs!
