Sennie hand fascination

Sammie seems to be fascinated with my hands and nails. So far she hasn't bitten hard, but I can see if she got excited it might end up that way, so I'd like to discourage it. She's not easily distracted. I give her toys , but she's quickly back to the nails and fingers.

A few of my birds have been like this, especially Bandit (American kestrel). Encourage her to sit more so on your arm if you can, it works well. I've found that most birds find hands just that little bit too tempting

I'd have a heart attack if a kettle found my hands interesting. They are small, but fierce with very sharp beaks.

See I find the kestrel bites and grabs a lot worse than my Harris' hawk who dwarfs him

Seen Harris hawks in the wild too and yeah I'd be afraid of them too. Next you'll tell me you have a Stellars Sea eagle which makes the Harris look like a midget :-)

I don't have one but I've been up close and personal, wonderful birds! Eagles are often more timid than you'd assume

I'm a bird watcher and the Stellars is my most wanted bird behind a harpy eagle.
