Harness training

Has anybody ever harness trained a lovebird?
If so whats the best way to go about it and whats the best way to introduce the harness?

Get an Aviator harness and it comes with a DVD that explains EVERYTHING. Explains how to use it properly and how to introduce it without fear.

I think lovebirds are a little too small to be put on a harness, you're going to find it hard to find one to fit lovebirds size.

The Cockatiel size might fit them. I definitely would NOT take the bird outside in the harness until you know it is nice and snug!

I know the aviator has a "petite" size, for smaller parrots like lovebirds, and im sure theres lots of smaller adjustable ones.
Its just getting hold of one.

Fischer's and peach faced lovebirds are pretty chunky in comparison to black masked and black cheeked etc. So I think the petite would be okay for them

Yeah my last tame one was a real chunky monkey. Took from me too soon tho

Are there any good sites that sell them cheaper? Ive seen them on ebay at £30 each sometimes that + postage. And im all for quality, but that's a bit much for some fabric and plastic bits XD

They are very expensive harnesses but honestly the aviators are by far the best and safest on the market. The best place is probably Scarlett's Parrot Essentials

Cheaper on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-aviato...item461159b000 . Scarletts charge £25 for the harness and delivery cost of about £5.99 of top of that. Yes Scarlett's is in UK.
