Flight Recall!

Kuzco is a silly boy. He's afraid to step onto a hand, but will happily step onto a dowel, arm, shoulder, head, and even foot. The weirdest part is how much he enjoys flight recall. We've made a game out of it and he will fly to the dowel from anywhere in my apartment, including from other rooms. If I hide with it somewhere, he will fly around our house until he finds it and then he lands with a chirp and dances. Today, he was having a good morning, so I decided to try it with my finger. I don't usually let him see the millet until after he's landed, but it's really hard to hold my phone, my finger, and the millet all at the right angle!

And pics because he's so cute and fluffy.

How wonderful! I think you can enjoy birds so much more when you recall train. They are still allowed to be birds and you build such a strong relationship Keep it up, you're doing fantastic

Also, here's a video of my Harris' hawk getting swept away by the wind just before landing. Your video reminded me of this, as he missed your finger

Wow, what a gorgeous hawk! I love that even though he got a bit windswept, he still looked super graceful. Why is it the parrots seem to struggle with being that majestic?

Aw thanks, Si! I always admire the Quakers in your siggy. Absolutely stunning. Kuzco's a pretty boy, but don't tell him. He's got enough ego as it is, but he definitely lucked out in looks. When the light hits him right, his feathers reflect blue. I'm just smitten with him <3
