man! i just wrote this whole thing and it disappeared....

Okay soo...

Russel has always been aggressive to other animals specially the cats he hates them and it they come near me he attacks them, he is fine with most of my birds cept he bullies them into giving him food, but I cant take my poor lineolated parakeet delilah out with him cause hes obsessed about attacking her hell even jump on her cage and try to attack her. Hes just really jealous I think.

He has always been fine with my family and people at my board kennel but when I take him anywhere else he lunges at people, or hell be fine on them and then his eyes dilate he puffs up and lunges or flies at there hair. i dont know if hes just profective of me or what but even if I try to get people to give him snacks hell lunge for the treat like the cockatoo off Rio lol. I feel awefully guilty because I dont want him to feel stressed around strangers like this he also does this angry chatter when strangers come near me. Hes a total sweetheart with me I cando whatever I want its just driving me nuts.

yeah see thats it, hes fine with some people and then he just loathes other people my black capped was never agressive.

i think theres a couple things to try like strangers giving them food, and maybe putting them away and then everytime they see the stranger getting the stranger to open there cage. Maybe putting him back and trlling him no whenever he starts agressively, and then wherever hes out and being good giviing him tons of his fav treat, I just want other people to be able to pet him and cubble him without being weary hell chomp them plus I dont want this to become a worse issue I mean right now hes just biting it they touch him but he could start biting when he flies at them, I think also making himwork for things like food and treats, I get russ to do his tricks before I feed him then he sees that I control it.

My senegal hates everyone but me. My grey is getting that bad, too. Since I am not willing to take a chance on anyone else being hurt, I don't have many opportunities to try to change this. They are great with the vet and her helpers, but they understand birds. They are also great with other bird people in the bird training club. I think the key is actually how the other people act, so that makes it even more difficult.

The other birds are great with other people.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

I find that too Nanay that Russ likes bird people better but i'd really like him to be friends with everyone he was like that a few months ago but then winter came and I couldnt get him out as much with it being cold and such. Thats true maybe I just hafta be careful about who I let him meet I already know he doesnt like tall dark haired people lol he must think humans are supposed to be short like me

solo would have a problem if he had a problem with that as i have curly hair, alought its normaly strait of tied back ive herd that birds can prefer a sertain gender and i think thats is what solo does (doesnt like males at all) but that desnt explain why he hates my sister?doesnt matter how hard she trys he just doesnt want anything to do with her, he will even atempt to bit her if he can close enough
