Face licking....

Yes that right...
I'm new to owning a Linnie, but not new to birds. Anyways my new linnie, pickles loves to hangout on my shoulder, but he's go this think the last few days about licking my face??
I don't want him too so I move my face away as I'm worried about makeup and my moisturizer harming him. It's usually in the evening when not much is left on, but still.
Anyone experienced this before?
Thanks

Louie loves to "groom" (lick my face) me. He also loves to rearrange my hair. I didn't realize I was such a mess!

And God said, "...let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." And God saw that it was good.

Yes, I also experienced this, sometimes Yuki (green) is licking my hand or face.
That shows Pickels loves you very much, he wants to preen you, but there are no feathers.

Our conure does this A LOT along with nibbling/mouthing our ears. We take it as a sign of affection. But a bird tongue in my ear is not my preferred way to spend time with him. He does it more often in the evening...maybe sweat or ? build up.?

I think he's just having a mess with you, see what you're all about He sounds very cute! My birds have yanked my eye lashes out unexpectedly when I've had a ton of eye make up on and it hasn't done anything to them. Hurt me though
