Question Finding new mate for my Blue-Crowned

Hi. My Blue-Crowned conure lost his mate (a Maroon-Bellied conure) about 5 months ago and he was sad, but started bonding more with me. For a few weeks now, he's "bonding" with his bell. He regurgitates to it (but nothing comes out of his mouth) and he's gotten a little more agressive with me, like he was when he had his former mate. I think he would be happiest if he had another bird to bond with. I've been looking around and have seen mostly babies available. He's 15 years old. I did find an 8-year old female who was being used as a breeder. She lost her mate, and is for sale. I think most breeders are not tame? Does anyone know if this match could work, or if the untame female would be too wild? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

My maroon bellied conure hybrid was a breeder bird, completely wild. Now he's tamer than my hand raised green cheek! They will get along just as well don't worry. But every bird is different so you can't guarantee it, hopefully it turns out for the best! You could also tame it if you wanted too

An adopted bird is also always an option, and there are some lovely ones on petfinder. It's always tough to lose a bird, not only for you, but also for the his friends I wish you best of luck finding another blue crowned!
