Finally

Well our 2 Conures (one Normal GCC and a Yellow sided GC) have now figured out that they like each other... They will now b housed in the same cage and boy let me tell ya they r comical tried to knock each other off the cage but now its all good... Is there behavior things that we can pick up on to tell male from female for those of u that have had conures for a while... We do have DNA tests from Avian Bio tech that we will be sending off soon to figure out whose male and whose female!!

Honestly my female acts like a male. But both are DNA'd! She bosses him around a lot

Well as soon as we pluck some feathers from both we will send them off n see what we have haha.. Hoping for same sex but dont have a particular preference... My mom read that even tho nest boxes are used during breeding season that its good to have one in the off season as well is this tru? And if we have a male female pair could they breed both being GCCs (a normal and yellow-side)?.

I wouldn't let them breed until they're older but yeah you can mix mutations fine. My female is turquoise yellow sided so she's a mixture. Plus pineapple is a mix between yellow sided and cinnamon I wouldn't keep the box on, it will only allow them to lay more which could kill the hen. Mine have a cozzzy hut until they have their box and they don't get nesty with it
