well my daughter does not like holding him without the cloth over her hand because of his nails but we thought we would start hand to hand then try perch to hand. i am taking him tomorrow to have his nails clipped they are long and really hurt when he is digging them in to get his balance. he is still a little nerves about his flying ability so i am not doing it far from him. he did fly a couple of times from the stand but acted a bit more nervous on it so we switched to hand to hand

I totally get that Darwin's nails are not overgrown but they are so sharp they cut me often!

Can you get her a wetsuit arm and cut a hole in it for her thumb to go through?
It's easier for birds to grip and takes the pain out if it.

He is so precious! Glad he is doing well on the training! My daughter can't handle my GCC's nails, so I know those must hurt. Your babies are precious!
