Hey advice on my grey RIO please?

Rio has come home yesterday he was born on 25.03.13, and I feel he has settled in well. I am practising the harness which seems to be going well, my concerns are the following:

He is popping on the floor, is the best way to train him to put him in the cage? Sometimes I totally miss that he is about to poop.

Also I have noticed he climbs up on the back of the shoulders and seems to want to nibble at my ears, and head but I tend to get nervous for some reason how do I settle him back down.

Thirdly sorry guys... What else should I currently be doing with him?

All your suggestions and tips would be very helpful, as I really want to train my parrot well X

For him pooing on the floor you could clicker train him to poo on command over a piece of newspaper or the garbage can. Part of owning birds though is that you have to deal with poo.

As for him nibbling, just don't let him on your shoulder, or distract him with a toy when he starts to nibble on you.

You shouldn't have a bird that big on your shoulder.
He could inflict a nasty Bite when older.
Keep your hand hight than your elbow he should stay there.
When he poops. Say at the same time 'go poopy' or 'bombs away'.
And give him a click and a reward when its NOT on the floor.
I would also teach him 'go in' when its time to go back to his cage.
Especially as he's nice n young.
Good luck.
