Super cheap toy

This is just pieces of drinking straws and plastic bottle caps, threaded onto rope. I saw something like it online some time ago. I always save bottle caps for him and I used only 6 and a half straws for this so it was really almost free - always a good thing for a toy that will be destroyed in a few days

Percy started playing with it/destroying it almost instantly

As he chews off pieces, I will just push the remaining bits up, tie a new knot and cut off the excess rope to avoid long, leg or neck catching bits of rope.

Awesome idea! I've seen the "commercial" version of this toy for $20 at my local bird store! What kind of rope did you use?

Ordinary cotton rope for the outside pieces and a very thick shoelace I saved at some point, for the centre bit. No reason for the difference - I just like to use up stuff
