My first DIY toy = fun to make

DSCN0743.jpg

For my new linnie to be, Bindi I made this toy. It was fun using shoe strings or (any string can be used) cut up pieces of colorful straws, beads, bells. A friend made a toy like this for my Skyler a few years ago he is on it everyday It's easier to see when you enlarge the picture.

I've seen expensive toys like this so I made mine for less. Also thanks for the good advice on the coffee wood question.

This is my first self made toy using things my linnies like to play with. It was a hoot to make!! I can't wait to see Bindi playing with it. Bindi's breeder already has her playing with beads and straws so I know this toy will be a winner for her

Judy, great toy and I'm sure the birds love it! I just want to mention that the sleigh bells are very dangerous as birds can get their toe nails/toes stuck in them and not be able to get out. Open bells with clappers are much safer.
