New cage FINALLY arrived

So I finally got my new cage!

It had been sent out and was meant to arrive in 3 days of ordering it but the delivery people sent it back to the place I'd ordered it from for some reason. So I called them up on Monday and asked if they could do anything and they explained it all to me and sent it back out and I got it this morning. It took us around an hour to get it all up being as it was flat packed.

I used a few of my birds to model it for me still don't know what to get yet though

Also through in a random picture of Chewee, I don't know why, but I felt like it

Well, Of Course you needed to throw in a picture of Chewee! He looks like he is concentrating sooooooooooooo hard. Being a kak, that concentration probably lasted about 3 seconds. But, hey, you captured the moment.

From the pictures, the bar spacing on the cage looks ok even for birds as small as the budgies. Is that really the case, or is that an optical illusion? You should be able to house a fairly small bird or a fairly large bird in there, whatever you decide on.

Does Chewee live with you or with Alex? Your cockatiel and budgies look like they get along well.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

Jessie: thankyou! Somebody totalled the amount of birds I kept as around 89 birds including the ones I have at my uncles... Haha! But its forever changing. If I don't count the ones at his I have 26 birds hehe. He has a LOT of birds at his haha. And yeah my birds of prey are at my home!

Nanay: you're telling me! He was sat there with the funniest look on his face, like 2 seconds later he threw himself at my shoulder and next thing I know I'm chasing him around the room. They tend to spring not fly, and I'm not kidding, they're so fast! They do this really annoying thing where they each seem to have their own methods, Chewee runs in between your legs and arms in a zig zag sort of way so you end up falling over, he bounces off your forehead too, I think he's a show off. Flash dives at the last second. She will be sat there and you hope she'll just let you pick her up and then just as you go to get her she just falls off the perch backwards and flies really low and then really high haha! Ralph runs around you in circles in a kind of smug way and Yoshi just literally flies extremely fast! They're such pains haha!

The cage is designed for greys and amazons etc but my tiel and budgies are fine in there and to be honest the bar spacing seems to be the same as the cage they were in before. They seem happy in there! The budgies have so much room they can fly haha. Joey is just miserable and sits on top while everybody plays. When I do eventually get another bird (won't be any time soon) I can just pop them back in their other cage. With the new cage they're free to come and go all day cause of the open top. Joey hates all other birds (and most people) so the budgies often sit away from him. He's never done any damage or anything, he just walks away from them and does a horrid little screech thing but he's fine with them around now, he tolerates them. But Joey is out with me most of the day. They're all good with each other really, I see him preening them he doesn't know that though!

And Chewee is in a cage with Ralph at Alex's house, but me and Alex got back together (we had split up for a month or so but that didn't last haha!) so now I get to see my other fids more. Which is great!
