finished play tree!

I finally finished my play tree project!! I also rearranged my extra large flight cage (now just have to fill it!). I had intended Louie to have that cage, but its just too large and he's afraid of it, so I put him back in his original smaller cage, so he's very happy to be back in there. Now I would like to get 3 more budgies to round out the number to 6. Just have to get my husband on board!

Trouble with the pics! Trying again!

Yep, its a lot of real estate for just 3 little budgies!! They've taken over my office and are eyeing the rest of the house. I'd have at least 30 if I could!! I'll try to get better pictures of my play tree and post them again.

Okay! Hehe, it's not bad at all having such a large flock. They have an outdoor aviary and do very well. Only problem is they consume a LOT of food and obviously if they get sick, and more than one gets sick, that's a lot of money to cover!

Wow, a whole bird room, gorgeous!
I'm happy with my two fids, I wouldn't like to care for a whole flock.
Janosch and Paulchen are much fun, but they require enough work and money.

Thanks! Actually, they haven't taken over the whole room...yet. The other half of the room is still my office. But if I do get any more birds, I'll be working in my bathroom

I'll try to get a few more pics. The pics keep coming out dark.

Yes it was very expensive! Actually, there really is new carpet under there. Even with that, they LOVE to dive bomb my office chair and poop on it. When friends and family visit, they just shake their heads!

You inspired my attempt at making my play tree. I love your bird/bedroom!

I still want to add to my room too I brought the tree that I am donating into my room just to see how a 3rd tree would look.... I just don't have the room! I have to find more branches to add to the trees. If I can't build out I will build up instead!

Very nice! Which one is little Louie's cage?

I would love to have more too, but it isn't practical for me at this point with my other responsibilities and it is too much of a risk for me (meaning if it will mess up my current dynamic with Mina and Cozette getting along so well). It sure is tempting tho. I would love to have a violet cinnamon budgie and a green linnie (or a dilute of any color). I haven't given it much thought tho LOL

One of the big flights was Louie's, but he was afraid of it and kept falling, so I put him back in his old, smaller cage. He only sleeps in it or is in it for a short time if I go out. He's much happier in his old cage. Goofy bird!!
